Price of residency
The Vinha residency includes four rooms: Salonki, Kirjasto, Kammari and Kulmakammari. You can see photos of the rooms on our website. The weekly rent of the rooms is the same for all rooms, €250/week.
Vinha does not have workspace for visual artists, but you can draw, design and sketch (using non-toxic materials that do not cause an odour nuisance) in your own room.
Visual artists can nevertheless apply for a residency, because you can rent workspace affordably from Vinha’s partners for an agreed period of time. Residencies for visual artists are always agreed on a case-by-case basis.
There are two workspaces available:
The workspaces of the Ruoveden taideyhdistys artists’ association, which include the option of using a press for making prints. Price: €50/week, €150/month.
When your residency application has been approved, you can make an agreement on renting a Ruoveden taideyhdistys workspace with Arto Kovasin at artok@arkoconsulting.fi
The workshop room at the Kulttuuriparantola cultural centre of the Municipality of Ruovesi as of January 2024. The prices will be specified later.
The price of a residency at Vinha includes:
- living and working in your own room
- the residency change day is Friday. The room becomes available at 15:00 and check-out is at 12:00 noon.
- free use of the common kitchen. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwave oven, oven, fridge, freezer, coffee maker, electric kettle and dishes
- free use of two showers + WC facilities
- bedlinen, towels, Frantsila body and face washes in bathrooms, toilet paper
- sauna time slot in a wood-heated sauna once per week
- use of the washing machine + dryer
- room cleaning after the end of the residency (however, all those at the residence commit to taking care of basic cleanliness, especially in the common areas, during their residency!)
- water and electricity
- wi-fi
Room amenities:
- hotel-quality beds, two in each room
- a small desk and chair
- bed linen and towels (changed once per week by the cleaner during longer residencies)
- the rooms are cleaned by the cleaner on Fridays from 12:00 noon to 15:00
- the residency rooms are located on the second floor of Vinha. The shared kitchen, bathroom and WC facilities are located in the corridor next to the rooms.
